Nursing and Residential Care

Rustington Hall

Quality care, comfort and contentment throughout your later years.

At Rustington Hall we aim to provide residents with a secure, relaxed yet stimulating, and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort is of prime importance.

Who we are

Rustington Hall is a Care Quality Commission (CQC) dual-registered Residential Nursing and Care Home, which means that as a resident's needs develop from care to nursing to end of life, they can continue to stay here for continuity of care. We can meet a wide range of personal needs for older people, within a supportive environment. We have an outstanding reputation and an excellent CQC regulatory history.

Our Registered Manager works alongside the Clinical Lead to support a team of qualified and experienced nurses and carers.  Our higher-than-average staffing levels allow us to spend more time with each resident, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are fully supported.

Our housekeeping, catering, reception and maintenance teams ensure that non-clinical services are responsive and achieve high standards.

Rustington Hall provides a service that maximises choice and minimises unnecessary routine.  We believe exceptional care is about more than meeting physical needs; it's about creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued, comfortable and at home.

Comfortable, Personalised Accommodation

A call-bell system is installed in every room and all communal areas so that residents can obtain responsive assistance at any time.

All rooms are furnished and equipped to high standards and offer en-suites, Freeview televisions, internet network, direct dial telephones and modern profiling beds. We have a large variety of different sized character rooms with various outlooks including a number with the added feature of a ceiling track hoist.

We encourage residents to bring in personal furniture and furnishings and our maintenance team will place shelves and pictures to meet preferences.

Our rooms have an impressive attention to detail, such as windows being low enough so someone in bed can still look outside, or when seated in an armchair.

We have six 'state of the art' bathrooms and two wet rooms which have the latest equipment so that bathing or showering is beneficial, safe and comfortable.

Catering

Our trained catering team offer a wide range of choice at breakfast, lunch and supper and, wherever possible, source high-quality meat, fish and vegetables from local suppliers. All food is freshly prepared in our modern kitchen.

We cater for all dietary requirements and personal preferences, including specialist diets and modified-texture meals for residents who have swallowing difficulties. Our catering and care teams are trained in the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI), helping to ensure that food and drinks are prepared safely while remaining nutritious, appetising and enjoyable.

Fresh fruit, snacks and beverages are available throughout the day.

Visitors are welcome at any time and may dine with their loved one for a modest charge. Arrangements can also be made for residents and their guests to enjoy private dining for special occasions.

Facilities

The home offers a range of comfortable communal spaces, including a spacious modern lounge, a bespoke activities suite and a cosy quiet lounge. These areas provide opportunities for socialising, relaxation and spending quality time with friends and family. Residents and their visitors can also enjoy private gatherings in a welcoming and comfortable setting.

We have a dedicated meditation and prayer room available to residents, relatives and staff, providing a peaceful space for reflection, worship and spiritual wellbeing. The room supports people of all faiths and beliefs and can be used according to individual preferences and needs.

Our attractive grounds include secluded gardens, two courtyards, terraces, verandas and a beautiful wooden gazebo. These outdoor spaces offer opportunities to enjoy fresh air, gentle exercise, bird watching or simply a quiet moment surrounded by nature.

For the convenience of relatives and friends travelling from further afield, we offer a comfortable guest suite which is available for a modest charge.  This facility enables relatives to remain close to their loved one during important times, providing added comfort and reassurance for families.

Activities and trips

Our dedicated Activity and Wellbeing Team works closely with residents to provide a programme of activities that reflects individual interests, hobbies and preferences

Our spacious modern lounge is at the heart of the home and hosts a varied programme of activities designed to promote wellbeing, independence and social engagement. Residents and visitors are warmly encouraged to take part and enjoy activities together.

Regular sessions include gentle exercise classes to support mobility and flexibility, as well as reminiscence activities that encourage conversation, connection and the sharing of memories. Our dedicated activities suite provides a welcoming space for puzzles, games, crafts and computer use.

Each month we welcome a variety of musical performers and other entertainers, alongside popular events such as afternoon teas, bingo, quizzes and film afternoons. There is always something to enjoy, whether residents prefer group activities or quieter pastimes.

Residents also have opportunities to enjoy outings in our minibus to local places of interest, including garden centres, cafés, shops, National Trust and heritage gardens, and the seafront.
