Rustington Hall is a Care Quality Commission (CQC) dual registered Residential Nursing and Care Home, which can meet a wide range of personal needs for older people, within a supportive environment. We have an outstanding reputation and an excellent CQC regulatory history.
Our Registered Manager works with a Clinical Lead to support a team of qualified and experienced nurses and carers. We have above average ratio of staff to residents which together with our Activity and Wellbeing Team are able to ensure we meet all individual needs including emotional, psychological and physical requirements.
Our housekeeping, catering, reception and maintenance teams ensure that non-clinical services are responsive and achieve high standards.
Rustington Hall provides a service that maximises choice and minimises unnecessary routine. Our approach is ‘How Can We’ NOT ‘Why Can’t We’!
A Nurse/Care call system is installed in every room and all communal areas so that residents may obtain responsive assistance at any time.
All rooms are furnished and equipped to high standards and offer en-suites, free-view televisions, internet network, direct dial telephones and modern beds. We have a large variety of different sized character rooms with various outlooks.
We encourage residents to bring in personal furniture and furnishings and our maintenance team will place shelves and pictures to meet preferences.
Our rooms have an impressive attention to detail, such as windows being low enough to view by someone in bed, or in seated in an armchair.
We have eight assisted bathrooms, which have the latest equipment so that bathing or showering is beneficial, safe and comfortable. Independent bathing or showers are available for those able to manage without assistance.
Our trained catering team offer a wide range of choice at breakfast, lunch and supper and wherever possible source high-quality meat, fish and vegetables. All food is freshly cooked in our modern kitchen. All dietary requirements and preferences are catered for and we serve fresh fruit, snacks and beverages throughout the day.
Visitors are welcome at any time and may dine with us for a modest charge. Arrangements can be made for any resident and his/her guest(s) to dine privately.
The home has a large lounge, bespoke activities suite and a quiet lounge which can be used to entertain friends and family in private.
Our grounds include secluded gardens, two courtyards, terraces, verandas and a beautiful gazebo, where residents can enjoy a walk, fresh air or just some peace and quiet.
There is a guest suite for the convenience of relatives and friends visiting from a distance. This facility, for which a modest charge is made, is always in high demand.
The main lounge hosts an extensive programme of activities and residents and visitors are encouraged to participate. There are regular exercise classes to encourage flexible movement and reminiscence sessions. Each month we have a variety of musical and non-musical entertainers, tea parties, bingo, quizzes, film afternoons and numerous other activities. We have regular mini bus trips to local places of interest such as garden centres, cafés, shops, National Trust and Heritage gardens and the seafront.

“Please pass on our appreciation for the excellent proactive care the team are providing my Mum. A big thank you for sending through a video of Mum being visited, in her room, by a baby duckling and then arranging for us to Skype call her in the afternoon."
“The photos you took with the duckling were meant to be. They are the nicest pictures we have seen for many months, such a keepsake! Our heart felt thanks for going the extra mile and sending them to us. We will be ever grateful for the love and care you all had for her, certainly the best place she could be. May you all be kept safe at this very difficult time."
“Thank you for the kindness you showed – it was especially appreciated that you were able to nurse her to the natural end. She was very peaceful in her own room – we could not ask for more.”
“Just a short line to thank everyone for the care shown to Toots during her time with you. I know the family are very grateful.”
“Thank you for organising a Skype chat with our Mum, this afternoon. We had a lovely chat and were chatting for over an hour and a quarter. Our thanks and appreciation to you all for taking care of our loved ones, especially during this difficult time."
“I would like to repeat the grateful thanks of my sister and I to all the staff at Rustington Hall for their kind and gentle care for our mother over her last months.”
“Thank you for the kindness and care you have shown to S in the time she has lived here, at Rustington Hall.”
“I am extremely impressed with management and staff in so many areas. Most especially the huge efforts they go to improving things and when a resident has extra needs - these are attended to very promptly'. I am thrilled to be living here and appreciate all the hard work, care, understanding and empathy many staff show to the residents.'
“We are pleased that we chose Rustington Hall for my mother. She was quite unhappy at the prospect of giving up her flat and her independence so to see her engaging with the staff so well and learning that nothing is too much trouble is lovely. My mother is looking a lot better and is obviously being well cared for.'
I would very much like to send an enormous thank you to the Management and Staff at Rustington Hall Nursing Home. Despite the many varied challenges they are facing daily, due to the Corona virus pandemic, they have excelled themselves in coping with everything. The extra workload and stress must be horrendous but the residents see no sign of that at all. Management and Staff just get on with doing what they do best - taking care of all the residents. We are all being kept clear of this dreadful virus, and this is no mean feat with nearly 60 residents living at Rustington Hall Nursing Home. Staff are keeping to strict guidelines and lockdown started early here in March. Because of this, the measures taken by everyone has worked.
We are enormously grateful to everyone for the fantastic care, compassion, understanding and tolerance they show to all the residents and each other.
Well done to each and every person here at Rustington Hall. Continue to keep your family and yourselves safe. Thank you so very much from a Rustington Hall resident.
