Trustee Recruitment
Littlehampton and Rustington Housing Society Ltd (LRHS Ltd)
LRHS Ltd is a small locally based charitable Registered Housing Association that is seeking to recruit new Trustees to our Management Board.
LRHS Ltd is a registered social landlord that undertakes two main activities; operating a 62-room nursing and care home and a housing association providing 250 plus tenancies for those in social housing need. We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Homes England.
Our Board Members bring a diverse range of governance skills ranging from accountancy, legal services, regulation, commerce, banking and are mostly prominent participants in the local community.
We are now looking to recruit Trustees with either social welfare / housing or clinical knowledge either in a past or current role i.e. social work, GP or RN or senior care practitioner level or someone who has other relevant or transferable competences.
Our Trustees are required to attend up to five meetings a year including an AGM and have opportunities to join a Sub-Committee; either Audit, Finance, Strategy or Foundation (Bursary), which generally meet two or three times a year. You would have the opportunity to participate for one year in an ex-officio capacity, before mutually deciding whether to seek election at the following AGM initially for a 3-year term.
The Boards role is to set strategy and ensure that operational performance is maintained to high standards. You would be joining a team with a strong regulatory and operational record.
The Society has a great local reputation and any applicant would have an opportunity to help with the further development of our services. Ideally, we are looking for accomplished individuals who are looking for an opportunity to put something back into the local community. You will need to demonstrate empathy towards our values, have a constructive disposition, be reflective, pragmatic and gregarious.
The Trustee role is voluntary, but you may claim out of pocket expenses.
