Oakhurst Gardens

A unique retirement village in the heart of Rustington

Oakhurst Gardens is a self contained development of 87 one-bedroom flats and studio homes of varying designs. They are available for people aged 60 years and over. The site is set out in lovely spacious gardens and at the centre is our own village hall. An important feature of our site is that we offer a feeling of safety and well-being, staying part of a close knit community, whilst still keeping your Independence.

Security and peace of mind

Each home is linked to a call system which gives residents a feeling of security, as they can summon help if needed 24 hours a day. We employ an on site maintenance team who undertake most repair works and are on hand to help residents when reasonably required.

Our facilities

We have a fully equipped modern laundry, plus a library and a village hall. There is a guest suite for the convenience of relatives and friends visiting from a distance. This facility, for which a modest charge is made, is always in high demand.

Trips, activities and social events

Many activities take place in our village hall and residents are encouraged to meet and socialise, with the residents of the residential and nursing homes, which are close by. Trips are organised in the Society’s own mini bus. These range from visits to local shops to full day outings to places of interest, garden centres, theatres etc.

Location and transport

A post office, Angmering railway station, a chemist and other convenience shops, are just a ten minute walk from Oakhurst Gardens. There are two doctor’s surgeries nearby. Local villages and coastlines are easily accessible by bus and car. Churches of all denominations and two centres for the elderly, are close by. Buses to Worthing and Littlehampton stop adjacent to the complex.
